The sauce really brings all the elements together!
Ingredients:
6 long green peppers, cleaned and seeded
2 thousand year old eggs
4 cloves garlic, peeled
1 stalk green onion, chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon Sichuan fried chili oil
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons oil
Method:
Heat oil in pan over medium high heat
Add chili peppers and brown all sides
Set chili peppers aside until cool
Peel off skin from chili peppers
Place chili peppers, thousand year old eggs and garlic and salt in mortar and pestle and crush until mushy
Place crushed ingredients in a bowl and combine with green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil and sugar and mix well
Serve in room temperature
