Boiled wontons can be served in a nice soup with garnishes if your choice!

Pan-Fried Or Boiled Wontons

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Chinese chives, cleaned and finely chopped

  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and finely chopped

  • 3 eggs, beaten

  • 1 bag ready-to-use square wonton wrappers

  • 1 teaspoon salt, can be adjusted

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seed oil

  • 2 teaspoons oil

  • A small bowl of water



Method:

  1. Heat oil in pan over medium heat

  2. Add eggs and stir until cooked

  3. In a large bowl, combine Chinese chives, shrimp, eggs, salt and sesame seed oil together

  4. Put 1 teaspoon mixture in the center of a wrapper

  5. Moisten edges with water

  6. Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle shape

  7. Press the edges together to get rid of air bubbles and seal the wonton well

  8. Bring the two bottom corners of the triangle together and seal them with a little water

  9. After done wrapping, wontons can be boiled or pan fried

  10. Serve warm
