Keep this in a jar in the fridge to add a nice kick to any dish!
Ingredients:
16 tablespoons chili pepper flakes
4 tablespoons chili pepper powder
2 1/2 cups vegetable oil
1 bulb garlic, peeled and minced
4 tablespoons sesame seed oil
8 tablespoons roasted sesame seeds
1 tablespoon Sichuan pepper corn
2 star anise seeds
2 teaspoons salt
Method:
In a large bowl, combine pepper flakes, pepper powder, garlic, sesame seed oil, sesame seeds, and salt together
In a pan, heat oil, Sichuan pepper corn and star anise seeds over medium high heat
Cook until tiny bubbles surround pepper corn and star anise seeds
Turn off heat
Use a skimmer spoon to take out pepper corn and star anise seeds
Pour hot oil into mixture in bowl
Let cool
Store in a clean glass jar
