A nice little sweet that isn't too sweet!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons maltose
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 square cake pan, lined with parchment paper
Method:
In a saucepan, add water, sugar and maltose and cook over high heat
Do not stir until sugar and maltose melted
Keep boiling for about 2 minutes or temperature reaches 300°F
Stir well
Turn off heat
Add baking soda immediately and stir vigorously for a few seconds
Pour into cake pan and let cool
